Courageous Colter and Companions is a history of the people, places, and events that affected John Colter's life and the lives of some of those that he encountered, or that followed him. The thirty-six chapters (660pp.) are well documented for "another look" at historical events that may astound you in todays society. Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, men of the Corps of Discovery, Manuel Lisa, Frederick Bates, Nathan Boone, Thomas James, the Chouteau men and other companions are part of the John Colter story. The contents of the book are substantiated with at least 200 copies of documents and pictures as well as transcriptions of documents and is printed on acid-free paper. The hardback cover is green with gold lettering. The front of the glossy finish dust jacket is shown.
